Last month at Mystic Seminars I met the guys from Renaissance Albums.  The second saw the product, I knew my couples would LOVE them and I knew I had to have one for myself!!  So I rushed home and sent off a sample order.  I could not be more pleased with how this SoHo Book came out.  I literally did not want to put it down when it got here last week (I’m pretty sure Joe thought I was nuts).  But, I can’t help it!  I’m loving this smaller 8×10 size and this “silver spiral” material is a perfect match for Pam & James’ yellow & grey wedding!

Happy Tuesday!

So, now that 2012 wedding season has officially begun.  I’ve had a little time to reflect on all my 2011 clients and it’s gotten me thinking about what our first year of marriage was like.  How new everything seemed and how we were SO busy that all of a sudden our first anniversary was right on top of us and we barely had any plans (let along a gift for one another).  Your first anniversary is the “paper anniversary.”  Which, lets face it, isn’t that easy.  I tried to do a little research on my whole “why paper” question and came up with varying responses.  Some theories say it’s because the first year is the most fragile year (maybe true, but still… Paper? really?).  Some say it’s because in their first year you are focused on making ends meet so you get a little creative with a simple paper gift to celebrate. The truth is, I still have NO clue why it’s paper.  Frankly, I’d have an easier time with ANY other material.

But, you know what IS paper?  Photos (obvi).  And if you didn’t do a boudoir album as a wedding present (like I did), this would be a GREAT idea for your first anniversary.  I guarantee he’ll love it…

Happy Thursday!

My little goddaughter, Sydney, will be one next week… can you even believe that!?  I doubt you guys will even recognize Sydney & Drew from their last SMP shoot.  Every time you turn around they seem to be a few inches taller.  I think we…
