Dayna & Angelo's Tribeca Portrait Session | New York City

Dec 1, 2015
If you follow me on instagram then you most likely know what I'm about to say... but I'm going to say it again, anyhow.

So, here's the thing about New England and weddings, and especially weddings IN New England (as it relates directly to weddings): Sometimes things don't go as planned. And honestly, that goes for all weddings, good weather or bad. Sometimes things happen. Sometimes ceremonies run an hour late just because, sometimes limos take the wrong detour or don't even show up at all! It happens. Rarely, but it happens. And sometimes it rains on your wedding day. Sometimes it pours on your wedding day. Or sometimes there's an actual legitimate hurricane. And all we can do is roll with it... and although it might not have been everyone's first choice, we shoot where we can with the time we have and have the absolute best time doing it!

And this is where Angelo & Dayna come in (for the second time on the blog today!). Hurricane Joaquin ripped into town literally the day of their wedding. So, we didn't have the chance to wander around the streets of Tribeca on their wedding day like we had imagined. But, instead of just not getting the photos they wanted, we just went back and did it again! This time we got absolutely PERFECT weather, played around with some new(er) lighting and got some amazing portraits that, in all honestly, we would never have had time for on their wedding day, even if all went perfectly as planned.

I do sessions like this a few times a year and its not just exclusive to couples whose wedding days were rained out. Why not get all dressed up again, wear your hair differently, wear the shoes you wouldn't have dared to wear on your wedding day, style your dress differently and get some amazing portraits? And all with no wedding day time constraints to worry about you'll be totally relaxed and having fun!
