Andrea & Jules | Mass Moca Wedding Photography

Good morning from Miami!

I was going to hold off on posting this until I got back but, it happens to be Andrea’s birthday today!  Plus, I’m so excited to share this beautiful wedding with you all it pretty much took all I had to wait until these two got back from their honeymoon!

One of the best things about my job is getting to relive all these happy moments.  Especially with clients who are friends… and in this case, colleagues as well (see: Servidone Studios)!

Here are some of my favorites from Jules & Andrea’s big day!

Big knot, big day!

Seriously? Are these two adorable or what?

Ashley & Tyler’s Holy Cross Wedding | College of the Holy Cross Wedding Photography

Where to even begin with Ashley & Tyler’s wedding?  I’ve already told Ashley this already but I found myself tearing up a little while editing.  I mean, I still cry at weddings but its not normal to tear up again when I edit.  I don’t know if it’s because Ashley & Tyler are so effortless together.  Or if it was a total hotness overload on all levels.  Or if I was just plain sad that I no longer have a legitimate excuse to stalk them with my camera anymore (after their engagement session, can you blame me?).

I talk about trust a lot when I meet with prospective couples.  It’s so important that you’re on the same page and you feel comfortable trusting your photographer and their style.  Ashley & Tyler completely embody this.  I mean, they literally didn’t even flinch when I asked them to scale a fire escape three stories up the side of O’Kane Hall.  They were up for anything and I loved everything about working with these two.  But, maybe the best part of this wedding was working with their family and friends.  A special thank you and virtual hug goes out to Connie & Debbie (the moms) for greeting me with a hug and telling me what an amazing job I had done all before I had even unpacked my equipment.  That kind of trust is amazing and humbling.

Okay enough talk… enjoy some of my favorites from Ashley & Ty’s big day (ahem… see what I mean about hotness overload?)!

Ashley’s make up was flawless thanks to Christy who is so talented and so fun to work with… great job as usual, girl!

Best wedding gift ever!

My boy Chris jammin’ to a little Adele before the ceremony.  Now you know what the groomsmen do when they’re at the church so early. :)

Love this moment!

BAM.  Fire escape!

Sneak Peek: Ashley & Tyler | College of the Holy Cross Wedding

You know there’s nothing I love more than a Holy Cross love story… except maybe when my clients are willing to scale fire escapes and bare the 85 degree heat and humidity for some awesome portraits!

Here’s a few of them to hold you over…enjoy!

Seriously?  Seriously.  You two are just too beautiful!

A + T, Congrats!  Thank you (and your awesome, awesome families) for having me and for putting your trust in me!  Lots more where this came from … Love you guys!

Things That Make Me Smile | Boyz II Men

Boyz II Men.

Yes.  You read that correctly.

I said Boyz II Men.

(As in the wildly popular 90′s R&B vocal group best known for  their “emotional ballads and a cappella harmonies”)

Those that know me best know that every time “I’ll Make Love To You” comes on there’s a massive sing-a-long.  It’s serious business.

(and yes, our band played a rendition of it our wedding… of course!)

Last night my college friends (aka, those that know me better than anyone) got me one of my favorite birthday gifts EVER….tickets to SEE the Boyz in person!!

Yes, they’re still touring.

And yes, they still have killer dance moves.

And yes, it was EPIC.

So a BIG 114 thank you to Lis, Kel, Mack, Michelle & Meg for kicking off my 29th year in style!

Happy Friday!

xo, Suz

ps…

I know you’re in the mood for a love song right now… it’s okay.. don’t fight it.  I even gave you the version with the lyrics so you can sing along.  But, be careful, you might like it! :)

Stefanie & Mike’s Wooster Street Engagement Session | Connecticut Engagement Photography

Meet:  Stef & Mike!

Typically, I get an email from a bride about a wedding and we pick a time to meet.  Sometimes there’s a groom with her and sometimes there’s not.  But there’s almost always a bride at our first meeting.  In this case, I was only in CT for a day and Stef was away.  So, instead of postponing, she sent Mike.  On his own.  To meet with a wedding photographer.   Albeit armed with a list of questions, but on his own nonetheless.  My first thought was:  What a good fiancee!  Followed quickly by:  If I made Joe do this for our wedding he would have had me killed.

I knew just from the mere act of showing up sans bride that Mike was a keeper!  And after hearing how he talked about Stef, I knew that she must be really special as well.  And last month at the SMP Bride Brunch, in walks a girl with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and greeted me with a smile and big hug!  I knew immediately it was Stef.  She was, to a tee, as Mike had described her.

A few weeks ago, we met up again (all three of us this time) for a stroll around New Haven, followed by pizza at Pepe’s, where they had their first date!  For those of you not from CT:  You don’t know pizza until you’ve been to Wooster Street!  Mike & Stef were, just as I expected, so so sweet together.  Here are a few of my favorites for our evening on Wooster Street!

{ For more of Stef & Mike, be sure to like Suzanna March Photography on Facebook }

M + S, Thanks for such a fun evening in New Haven and for the pizza!  It was so great to catch up with the both of you at the same time, I can’t wait until August! :)

Happy Thursday!

xo,

Suz

And an out take… of course!

Elisabeth & Brian’s Intimate Rockport Wedding | Boston Wedding Photography

It’s not everyday that you’re one of 10 people to witness a marriage.  So, when Elisabeth reached out to me about shooting their ceremony at the Emerson Inn in Rockport, I jumped at the chance.

Even though it was a very intimate affair, I loved that Elisabeth, Brian and their families put so much thought and detail into the day.  They honored their families and remembered those that could not be with them with photographs.  Elisabeth wore a few treasured family heirlooms that were just perfect with her vintage Anna Sui dress!  And before they went off to dinner, we celebrated with an extended portrait session!

Here are a few of my favorites… enjoy!

{to see more of Elisabeth & Brian follow SMP on Facebook — click here}

E+B, thank you so much for having me at your ceremony.  It was so fun to get to know both of you and your amazing families!  All the best to the two of you!

Happy Tuesday!

Allyson & Matt’s Gibbet Hill Wedding | Boston Wedding Photography

Allyson & Matt are somewhere warm right now with an umbrella in their drink (jealous).  But, I couldn’t help but share a few of my favorites to hold them over until their return… Enjoy!

p.s. can you believe that blue sky?  That morning the weather called for rain but instead we got big puffy clouds and bright blue skies.  You couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day!

Seriously beautiful, Ally!

A+M, thank you so much for a really fun day!  Enjoy your honeymoon.  I can’t wait to catch up when you get back!

Happy Monday!
