Okay, back at it after a long weekend in Brooklyn and hitting the ground running today with Jesse & Julia’s Litchfield County wedding!  Jesse & Julia are just easy to be around.  They are both so sincere and welcoming.  And once I met their families on their wedding day, I knew exactly where they got it from.  This wedding was truly a coming together of two families.  The love & support that surrounded these two was amazing to see and everyone had a hand in making their day so very special.

Let’s jump right in!  For those of you who remember Jesse & Julia’s baseball themed engagement session, will not be surprised that there were nods to Jesse’s baseball roots all around, and pop’s of Julia’s favorite color, pink, at every turn.  Starting with her awesome hot pink kicks!

Stunning, Julia.  Just stunning!

Jesse & Julia exchanged cards on their wedding day.  There’s just something about getting a hand written note on your wedding day.

I love that J&J tied in their baseball theme throughout in such a perfectly subtle way… check out the mini baseball on Jesse’s boutonniere!

These next portraits will go down as some of my absolute favorites.  Ever.  If you read J&J’s sneak peek post, then you know this story (feel free to keep scrolling on down).  But if you haven’t here’s the 411 for you:  For Jesse & Julia’s wedding they had decided on to do photos at Topsmead State Forest after the ceremony, however, at the very last second the plan was scratched.  It was a little too hot to send the whole bridal party & parents on a hike through a state forest.  So, I asked Jesse & Julia to trust me.  And they did.  And we ventured over to these old factory building right down the street from the church.  And although they are quite a far cry from the greenery they had planned on, I think they’re even better!  These photos are SERIOUS and J&J nailed it!

oh hey, suz!

Okay, so get this.  I showed up at Julia’s house that morning and started talking with her parents.  Turns out they both went to Holy Cross!!!  In fact, Julia’s dad has been awarded the Sanctae Crucis award for his amazing work as a Principal at a CT Elementary School.  Actually, he was one of the first educators to win the award (no big deal!).  So, clearly I was so excited to hear this news and was even more excited when Julia’s mom told me that her HC roommates would be at the wedding!  How cool is that?  Here they are… bleed purple, ladies!

In keeping with the baseball theme, Jesse & Julia had an after dinner concession stand for their guests… complete with a popcorn machine!

And as all great weddings do, it ended with a huge sing along to “New York, New York”!!! (ahemm, ours ended that way, too!) ;)

J&J, couldn’t be happier for the two of you!!!  I hope you love these images as much as I do… keep in touch!!

Happy Tuesday!

xo,

Suz
