Jill and I grew up in the same town, went to the same high school, and were teammates on the same softball team.  So, needless to say, I was absolutely thrilled when she asked me to shoot her engagement photos!  I couldn’t wait to meet Dan, see what he was like and see what they were like as a couple.  We met in Hamden (our good old home town) at one of my new favorite locations (it also happens to be the location where I did my very own “Wear it Again” session!) the day after Thanksgiving for a chilly post-turkey e-session!

Jill and Dan compliment each other perfectly… they are so effortless and genuine in their interactions.  After spending a few hours with these two it seemed like Jill had always been with Dan, I couldn’t picture her without him or vice-versa!

I might add Jill was a total trooper on this shoot, willing to do whatever it took for the prefect shot/location, hiking up and down hills 8 months pregnant – that’s right, ladies! – 8 months!  …and Dan was such a gentleman helping her along the way.  Since this shoot, Jill and Dan have welcomed their precious little baby girl into the world, Remy Madison (born 1/8/11, 6:03am, 7 lbs 2 oz)! And from what I can tell from the pictures on Facebook she as cute as a button and one lucky girl for having such rock star parents!

Okay, enough chatter – meet Jill & Dan (and Remy, too!)

Jill, you are stunning!! Way to totally kill it!!

This is one of my faves, Dan workin’ the camera!

Another favorite!! How cute are these two??? Seriously!

LOVE Jill’s antique ring!

I think this one is my favorite of the whole day…. don’t know why, but it just is.

Remy!

Talk about a blue sky!  Not one bit of photoshop here!

J&D, SO much fun to shoot with you!!!  I know you two are going to be amazing parents!  Hope you love your images and I can’t wait to meet Remy soon!!! xo

Lindsay’s Baby Shower | Essex, CT

The Essex Yacht Club was not only a beautiful place to spend a Sunday afternoon, but also very meaningful for Lindsay.  It was where her parents got married, where she married Jordan, and now where her friends and family would gather to celebrate the next chapter in her life as they get ready to welcome their son, CJ into the world!

Lindsay’s family & friends put so much love and thought into every details.  They all sent a onesie (or two…or three) to be strung up around the room as decorations.  I loved this idea and CJ is definitely hooked up with lots of cute outfits!

My 2011 brides might recognize Lindsay as one of the sweetest bridal consultants from The White Dress by the Shore (…if you’re shopping for a dress in CT, the White Dress is not to be missed!)…

Love this moment between Lindsay and her Grandma…

This card is Jordan as a baby… how adorable!

Lindsay & her dad, who is so excited to be a grandpa!

And after all the cars were packed and all the good-byes were said… I got to sneak Lindsay and Jordan out to the dock for a couple quick portraits…

Thank you to the Rizza family for inviting me to be a part of this day!  Congratulations Lindsay & Jordan, I can’t wait to meet CJ!
