Travel, and Workshops, and Branding… Oh My!
Well, it’s 2012 and we’re hitting the ground running. It actually feels more like a sprint, honestly. January was originally slated to be a slow month for SMP, but has quickly become full of shoots, workshops, travel and a little re-branding on the side (yes, that’s right…. SMP will re-appear with a new look in March, appropriately enough!).
2011 was such an amazing year (to say the least). Taking my business full time was beyond exciting, nerve racking, rewarding and at times overwhelming. But, I learned SO much about the industry, my business and myself. Definitely a recipe for one of the most memorable years of my life. And now, I’m really excited for the future of SMP and creating a better, faster and stronger brand: “SMP version 2.0!” I feel like 2011 is still so fresh in my mind and I’ve barely had time to reflect on all of the “would-do-again’s,” “would-do-that-differently’s” or the ever popular “would-outsource-that-next-time’s” of last year, but nevertheless, I’ll be headed to Mystic CT for the next four days to get my learn on with some of the best in the business at Mystic 7. I can’t wait to get re-inspired for 2012 and of course meet some new friends!
What’s going on when I get back? Well, I’m right back into it! Kicking of the 2012 wedding season with two really exciting destination weddings this month in Colorado and Florida!!! There’s still two lovely 2011 weddings yet to hit the blog and some awesome portrait & engagement shoots as well. So, what I’m trying to say is… be patient with the blog for the next few weeks. You’ll probably see a few sneak peeks and a couple instagram posts. There’s loads of new and exciting stuff going on here…. I promise it will be worth the wait!
