Meet:  Stef & Mike!

Typically, I get an email from a bride about a wedding and we pick a time to meet.  Sometimes there’s a groom with her and sometimes there’s not.  But there’s almost always a bride at our first meeting.  In this case, I was only in CT for a day and Stef was away.  So, instead of postponing, she sent Mike.  On his own.  To meet with a wedding photographer.   Albeit armed with a list of questions, but on his own nonetheless.  My first thought was:  What a good fiancee!  Followed quickly by:  If I made Joe do this for our wedding he would have had me killed.

I knew just from the mere act of showing up sans bride that Mike was a keeper!  And after hearing how he talked about Stef, I knew that she must be really special as well.  And last month at the SMP Bride Brunch, in walks a girl with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and greeted me with a smile and big hug!  I knew immediately it was Stef.  She was, to a tee, as Mike had described her.

A few weeks ago, we met up again (all three of us this time) for a stroll around New Haven, followed by pizza at Pepe’s, where they had their first date!  For those of you not from CT:  You don’t know pizza until you’ve been to Wooster Street!  Mike & Stef were, just as I expected, so so sweet together.  Here are a few of my favorites for our evening on Wooster Street!

M + S, Thanks for such a fun evening in New Haven and for the pizza!  It was so great to catch up with the both of you at the same time, I can’t wait until August! :)

Happy Thursday!

xo,

Suz

And an out take… of course!

Can you even believe that there’s only 3 days until Christmas?  This holiday season just snuck up on me.  I’m actually not even done with my shopping yet (gasp!).

But, here’s an early Christmas gift for Heather & Pat!  I had such an amazing day with these two and their awesome friends and family!  Here’s just a few of my many, many favorites from their big day!  Enjoy!

Heather got ready in her childhood bedroom, I just loved these old children’s books she had!  How perfect!

Seriously, Pat is one lucky groom!!

What a good husband helping his wife clean the sand off her feet!

Heather, your friends are AWESOME!  I loved these girls, they had so much fun and it totally shows!

Heather, Pat & their guests rocked the night away to their favorite 80′s band, Fast Times!

Oh my goodness, how much do I Heather & Pat’s moms!!??  I said this on their engagement blog post (which you can re-read here), but this was truly  a celebration of two families coming together, which is really, really heart warming to see.  And if you ever get the pleasure of meeting these two ladies, you’ll know why.  They are two of the kindest women I’ve had the pleasure of working with this summer!

H+P, I couldn’t be happier for the two of you!  I feel so blessed to have been at your wedding  and wish you both all the happiness in the world.  And Pat, I don’t want to hear that you’ve stopped reading the blog now that you have your wedding photos!  You two better keep in touch… trivia soon!?  Love you two!

Happy Wednesday!

xo,

Suz

I’ve learned in life you have lots of friends.  Friends that come and go, some that stay, some that would rather lounge around in sweatpants and some you meet on Newbury Street for lunch.  For a girl a “best friend” is a big deal.  Especially…
