On my way home today I picked a roll of 120 film that I shot last month. We’re so used to the instant gratification of our DSLR’s.  As soon as we shoot a frame it’s one quick look to our LCD and we can double check our exposure, make sure we’re in focus or check to make sure nobody blinked!  I always forget how exciting it is to get a roll of film back and to see the images for the first time.  I feel a little like a kid on Christmas morning!  I have been experimenting more and more with my holga, bringing it with me on engagement shoots and weddings.  As photographers, we have all sorts of lightroom presets and photoshop actions that can give our digital files that vintage, aged, or grainy look you get from film, but sometimes…. there ain’t nothing like the real thing!
