Meet Annette & Jake!  As of now, they are batting lead off in my 2011 season and I can’t wait for their wedding!! Annette & Jake opted for a more urban look to their engagement photos, so we met up at Boston Public Library (snapped a few quick pics in the courtyard to warm up) and then took an afternoon stroll around some of their favorite parts of the South End.  These two have such a fun style & laid back way about them,  it totally came across in their session!! see for yourself!

As usual, lets kick it off with one of my faves…

This was actually the last frame of the day… and I love it!

Another MAJOR fave… love the color of Annette’s sweater, too!

A+J, Can’t wait to see you two in front of the camera again!  Hope you love your images  xo Suz

Another one of my fabulous 2011 couples has made their way to the blog!  Yay!

I met up with Jesse & Julia on their home field (literally) in the Bronx!  Yup, Yankee territory!!! Double Yay!  Okay, so we didn’t hit up Yankee Stadium, but they did give me the tour of their turf including Manhattan College (where they met), followed by a killer post shoot diner breakfast NY style!  Because you just can’t beat a good NY Diner!

But, before I introduce you to J&J officially, I have to share their engagement story, because it one of the cutest ever!  I didn’t want to leave anything out, so I asked Julia to re-tell it for me.  Here’s the soon to be Mrs. Jesse on her engagement story:

“It was a random Monday night. I was at home in my pajamas catching up a new episode of Gossip Girl while Jesse went out to dinner with his sports agent (side note from SMP: Jesse played minor league baseball). He came home to with a huge box in his hands. He told me that his agent got him a new glove and he wanted me to check it out. I was a little more excited about Gossip Girl than a baseball glove, but I decided to take a look anyways. I opened the box and it was pink (my absolute favorite color). I asked if the glove was for me and he said yes. I did not realize he was on one knee at this moment. I was just excited he got me a glove! I realized there was writing embroidered into the glove but it was upside down at that moment. I believe my exact words were “It says something?” I flipped the glove around to reveal the words “Marry Me?” At that moment I finally put two and two together and realized that in his hands was a ring.”

awww… goosebumps! And here it is…

Right!?!?  I told you that was  adorable! I knew from the second Jesse told me this story that I would love these two immediately.  Okay, okay, enough about the bling, let’s meet J&J!

Of course we had to hit up the Manhattan College ball field…

And what would a NY shoot be without the subway!?

J&J, you two are effortless together.  I am so honored that I get to be a part of your wedding next summer – I can’t wait!! enjoy your images! xo

This is one of my favorite locations I’ve shot so far.  It also happened to be the scariest – I may or may not have left Nicole and Andy inside the building as I ran out screaming with all my equipment (ahemmm… sorry guys!)!   …
